Robotics Update

What an amazing week for the robotics team. Students in the program have been working hard to build and program robots that will compete in the Crown Cup competition in Calgary in February. To make a program like this possible, students have also had to work hard to market our program to local businesses in order to raise funds. Two students from Barons along with one from our site took the time to visit with owners and managers of a variety of companies. They were able to successfully raise $950.00 in donations! This will greatly help both the team in Carmangay as well as the team being run in Baron. We are so proud of the effort our students have put into making this program a success. We couldn't ask for a more dedicated, committed group of young men and women whose participation in this program will prove invaluable as they move into careers in the future.

Featured in this blog is one of the robotics tables that were built by our very own students. It is a replica of what will be used at the competition in Calgary. It will allow us to practice on the same mat that will be used in the actual competition!
